(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 UFFL V showdown, TEAM MRC beat a strong Evil Monkeys team by a score of 216.47 to 175.32, silencing a partisan crowd of 65,897.
TEAM MRC were led to their 41.15 point victory by a 29.70 point effort from Jonathan Stewart, who tore apart the New York Giants defense for 206 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 16 receiving yards. With this performance, Stewart was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 23.20 point effort from Frank Gore, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 71 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 81 receiving yards.
"It's tough to win in a hostile environment," TEAM MRC coach Anthony Grega said.
Evil Monkeys were helped out in a losing cause by a 28.00 point effort from Kirk Morrison, who beat the Cleveland Browns offense for 10 tackles. With this performance, Morrison was the number 2 ranked defensive linebacker for week 16. They also got help from a 18.30 point effort from Marion Barber, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 63 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 30 receiving yards.
"I don't want to point fingers," Evil Monkeys coach Dave Torreano said.
This brings the record for TEAM MRC to 10-3, and drops Evil Monkeys to a record of 9-4.
